Wow!! This book has astounding insight into the entire process of essential oils. It definitely sucked me in for hours! This isn't the type of book you can sit down and just read cover to cover though... it is more of a reference book, as the title suggests. It lists what oils to use for certain ailments, as well as listing the oils by alphabetical order. The writing is a bit small and may be hard to read for some people, but overall, I definitely recommend this book. It will be a staple in my oily adventure!

I use this book constantly as a reference for essential oils. Good for general references but created to work with Young Living Essential Oils (especially the blends that are proprietary blends of Young Living) This is not a book that you read cover to cover, just read and study the parts you need when you need it. Evidence-based entries from history and the Bible as to the history of each oil. Each entry shows how the oil is processed, frequencies, therapeutic uses, and history. There is also a section by condition that gives overview of oil options that is good by itself of serves as a supplemental with iTovi scanner reports. The sixth edition is my favorite, more information provided than that in the seventh edition. So if you have a choice use the sixth edition.

This is, hands down, the BEST full color essential oils reference manual out there! In some instances, it offers more than just oils for care, but best foods as well. I just updated. The previous manual was black & white print.

Final Review for "Essential Oils Pocket Reference" 6th Edition by Life Science Publishing' This is the best essential oil reference book I have. 'Twas a gift from my BFF who is super-knowledgeable about oils and uses them to daily with great success. I find myself using this spiral-bound resource regularly. Every imaginable oil is alphabetically listed and described. Suggestions for use in diffusers, topical, ingested, etc. and recipes for blends are all included here in a really user-friendly format. If you are into essential oils, this is a must-have. This does refer to Young Living Oils, but works for any brand. There also is a bigger desk reference volume, but this pocket reference is great for non-professionals.

I am currently feeding my new obsession for essential oils and this book is its poorman's porn.
I love the science, the history and the breadth of info this reference provides, especially as am using Young Living oils exclusively and it goes into great detail on the special blends. Is a handy resource and I feel I am reading it everyday. DO wish it was in colour and/or had more photography but it is doing the job throughly.

I read this reference book cover to cover, highlighting the types of oils and conditions and the number one recommended oil for each in an effort to better understand oils and also to see what needed to be added to my arsonal. I had previously found the book hard to maneuver, but now I know where to look for what.

ABSOLUTELY, the best investment I have made in a book related to my wellness. I was lucky enough to have a dear friend share her story about Essential Oils and I started using them. My journey has taken me to a place where I desire to avoid so many chemicals/toxins in my home and on my body. This book covers everything in detail and I open it several times a week. My only disappointment is that it is too large to carry with me everywhere!!!!
